Reagan Presidential Library

We visited the Reagan Presidential Library, February 6th, and were blessed to discover a party in progress for President Reagan’s 115th birthday! There were dignitaries, wonderful speakers, the United States Marine Corp band, a warbird planes flyover, a 21 gun salute, the playing of Taps, and birthday cake!

“More than anything else, I want my candidacy to unify our country; to renew the American spirit and sense of purpose.” – Ronald Reagan, July 1980

I wasn’t old enough to vote when Reagan ran for President, but I was overwhelmed with emotion during the ceremony and while touring the exhibits. Our country and our presidents are not perfect, but I’m extremely proud to be an American.
