The Beach and the Mountains

The past few months at home in the mountains has been nice – yard work, random fix-it projects, purging/cleaning/organizing closets, family time, walks/hikes, starting new hobbies, and lots of time relaxing on the porch swing and in the hammock. We are truly grateful.

After only a few inquiries about our RV, we decided to load it back up and hit the road. First, we spent a week at the beach with family pack members at Camp Hatteras. Although hotter than you know where, it was nice to soak up a ‘little’ sun, watch our niece surf, play pickleball, go deep sea fishing and enjoy the ocean views.

Next, we spent a long weekend at a favorite mountain spot – Mountain River Family Campground. It was nice to hang out in cooler weather, read a book, tube the river and visit with family.

I don’t feel the need to ‘get away’ from it all; however, I’m grateful for the opportunity.

“The single most important factor in our long-term happiness is the relationships we have with our family and close friends.”
