“If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” – Dolly Parton
We’ve been in Port Lavaca, Texas for the last few days with pack members (M’s mom, Jean, her husband Bill and their dogs, Molly & Maggie), hunkered down. The weather has been less than ideal – dreary, cold, and extremely windy, just like winter at home. While it’s familiar and we are well equipped, we had hoped for warmer temperatures.

We’ve used the opportunity to slow down – read, draw, nap, work on RV projects, catch up with family, eat at local restaurants, and watch the world go by. There’s always activity in a campground – people walking dogs, kids playing, people riding bikes, etc. Considering current world events 🇺🇦, it’s also a great time to reflect on how blessed we are to live in this country 🇺🇸 and to spend time with those we love.
In a couple days we’ll move further east (behind the cold weather front) in search of beach weather.☀️
It’s been absolutely wonderful being here with you two in spite of the weather. Great times!!! Memories.
Looking forward to our next stop hoping the weather will be better ( I guess it could be worse) so we can enjoy the beach together.
❤️😘❤️
